Hispanic culture in Hollywood: Encanto

This massive hit was released in 2021 and “We Don’t’ talk about Bruno”, a theme song from its soundtrack became the first song from a Disney movie to reach No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since 1993.

Our team absolutely loved this film, and we wanted to share with you the specific reasons why:
- The Colombian references like palm trees, mountains and animals like the jaguar and the chiguire
- Listening to the Cali-style salsa created by fellow Latinos Carlos Vives & Lin Manuel Miranda
- The movie showcases how Arepitas can cure anything – just ask Mirabel 😊
- The focus on the importance of family and self acceptance
❤️

We are so proud of seeing our culture play in the big screen and having people from other nationalities enjoy it was much as we do!
